 Angličtí hardrockeři THUNDER vydali během posledních let sérii tří EP (vždy tři nové studiovk, plus tři live verze). Jak již název napovídá, novinka je jejich souhrnným vydáním.<br><div class="MsoNormal"><div class="MsoNormal">Nemá tedy smysl u „EP Sessions 2007-2008“ hledat koncepci řadového alba, je to z principu dokument, skládačka. Přesto je ale pro mne většina nového materiálu lepší, než na poslední klasické řadovce „Bang!“, nahrané stejnou sestavou: Danny Bowes (vc), Luke Morley (gt), Ben Matthews (gt,kb), Chris Childs (bs), Gary 'Harry' James (dr). Živé skladby dokazují, že chlapům nedělalo problém zahrát naživo bezchybně jak ve studiu.</div><div class="MsoNormal"><div class="MsoNormal">THUNDER plynule navazují na tradice britského (blues)hardrocku typu BAD COMPANY. Nespěchají, neexhibují, neoslňují sóly. Těžiště všeho je v kompaktním fundamentálním soundu kapely, chytlavé melodice, smyslu pro hybnost a nosný riff.<br></div><div class="MsoNormal"><div class="MsoNormal">Danny Bowes má na svých hlasivkách fogertyovskou poklici (boogie „See My Baby Walking“ - CREEDENCE jako když vymaluje), svým důrazem mi navíc evokuje Paula Rodgerse, viz třebas „I Believe“ a „Make My Day“, kde se iommiovský riff navíc docela podobá tomu z „We Will Rock You“. Závěr výběrovky - od „So Sad Today“ - je přímo oplodňovací, s „I Believe (Missionary Position Version)“ dostanete i doporučení na vhodnou polohu...</div><div class="MsoNormal"><div class="MsoNormal">Kdyby THUNDER hráli v sedmdesátých letech, byli by dnes v učebnicích.</div></div></div></div></div>
